Xtreme HD IPTV on Android and iOS: Phone & Tablet Guide

You can watch Xtreme HD IPTV on an Android phone, an iPhone or a tablet with one free app and the login from your welcome email. Setup takes about five minutes. This guide covers phones and tablets on both platforms; for TV devices, see the Android TV setup guide or IPTV players for Apple TV.
Quick answer
Install IPTV Smarters Pro from the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iPhone and iPad). Open it, choose Login with Xtream Codes API, and enter the username, password and server URL we sent you. The channel list, guide and movie library load on their own.
What you need
- An Android phone or tablet running Android 7.0 or later, or an iPhone or iPad with a recent iOS version
- An active subscription or the 24-hour free trial
- A stable connection: about 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K (see speed requirements)
Which app to use
IPTV Smarters Pro is the simplest choice on both platforms. It's free, the same app runs on Android and iOS, and it splits your subscription into Live TV, Movies and Series sections with a built-in program guide. More detail is in our IPTV Smarters Pro guide.
A few alternatives work too. GSE Smart IPTV is on both stores and casts well to a Chromecast. VLC opens an M3U link with no setup, which makes it handy for checking that your playlist works, but it has no TV guide. TiviMate is excellent on Android TV boxes, but it's designed for a remote and has no iOS version, so it's not the one to pick for a phone.
Set up on an Android phone or tablet
- Open the Google Play Store, search for IPTV Smarters Pro and install it.
- Open the app and choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
- Enter any name you like, then the username, password and server URL from your welcome email.
- Tap Add User. The app downloads your channels and the program guide, which can take a minute the first time.
- Pick Live TV, Movies or Series from the home screen and start watching.
If you'd rather use the M3U link we send, choose the M3U URL option instead and paste the whole link. See how to add an M3U playlist for the details.
Set up on an iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store and search for IPTV Smarters Pro. Check the name carefully, because similar apps exist.
- Install it, open it and tap Add New User, then Login with Xtream Codes API.
- Enter your username, password and server URL. Turn off auto-capitalization or paste the details, since the fields are case-sensitive.
- Save the profile and wait for the channel list, guide and VOD library to load.
On an iPad, hold it in landscape when you browse the guide. The bigger screen shows far more of the grid. The full iOS walkthrough is in IPTV on iPhone and iPad.
Using IPTV on mobile data
Streaming uses a lot of data: roughly 1.5-3 GB an hour in HD and 7-10 GB an hour in 4K. An evening of football on a 4G or 5G plan can use up a small allowance quickly. On mobile data, pick a lower quality if your player offers one, and save long sessions for Wi-Fi. Our data usage guide has the full numbers.
Watching on a phone and a TV
The same login works on your phone, tablet and TV. What your plan limits is how many of them play at the same time. On a 1-device plan you can watch on your phone during the day and the TV at night, but not both at once. If two people in the house often watch at the same time, a 2 or 3-device plan avoids the "max connections" error.
Sending the picture to your TV
You can also play on your phone and show it on the TV. Android phones cast to a Chromecast or a compatible Smart TV from the quick settings menu, and iPhones and iPads use AirPlay to an Apple TV. Mirroring copies everything on your screen and can lag a little, so an app installed on the TV itself is the better option for regular viewing. See screen mirroring from a phone and the Chromecast guide.
Common problems
- Login rejected: usually a typo or a capital letter the keyboard added. Paste the details from your email. If it still fails, see fixing "failed to authorize".
- Empty guide: give it a few minutes after the first login, then refresh the EPG in the app's settings. See EPG not working.
- Buffering on Wi-Fi: move closer to the router or switch to the 5 GHz band. See how to reduce buffering.
- App closes by itself: clear the app's cache or reinstall it. See IPTV app keeps crashing.

Frequently asked questions
Which app should I use for Xtreme HD IPTV on my phone?
IPTV Smarters Pro. It's free, it's on both the Google Play Store and the App Store, and it works with the Xtream Codes login you get when you subscribe. TiviMate is built for TV remotes and has no iOS version, so it's a better fit for Android TV boxes than for phones.
Can I use the same login on my phone and my TV?
Yes. The same username, password and server URL work on every device. Your plan limits how many devices can stream at the same moment, not how many you install the app on.
How much mobile data does IPTV use?
Roughly 1.5-3 GB per hour in HD and 7-10 GB per hour in 4K. On mobile data, lower the quality or wait until you're on Wi-Fi for long sessions.
Why does my iPhone say my login is wrong?
The iOS keyboard often capitalizes the first letter automatically. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive, so check every character, or paste the details from your welcome email instead of typing them.
Can I watch on my phone and send it to the TV?
Yes. Android phones can cast to a Chromecast or compatible Smart TV, and iPhones and iPads can use AirPlay to an Apple TV. A player installed on the TV itself usually gives a cleaner picture than mirroring.
