IPTV on Chromecast: How to Cast from Phone or PC

Chromecast (without Google TV) doesn't run apps natively — it displays what's cast to it from another device. Here's how to use it for IPTV.

Casting from Android

Apps like GSE Smart IPTV have built-in Chromecast casting — see the GSE setup guide. Open the app, tap the cast icon, and select your Chromecast device.

Casting from a browser (Chrome)

Open a browser-based IPTV player (see our browser playback guide) in Chrome, then use Chrome's built-in "Cast" option to send the tab to your Chromecast.

Casting from iOS

Fewer iOS apps support native Chromecast — screen mirroring via AirPlay to an Apple TV is generally more reliable if you're on iPhone or iPad, though this requires an Apple TV rather than a basic Chromecast.
