M3U vs M3U8: Is There Actually a Difference?
You'll see both ".m3u" and ".m3u8" in IPTV. The difference between them is minor.
The technical distinction
M3U8 is an M3U file encoded in UTF-8, which handles international characters (such as non-English channel names) that the original M3U format couldn't reliably handle.
Why it rarely matters
