A 1-device plan means one active stream at a time, but you can install the app on as many devices as you like. You just can't watch on two of them at the same moment. A 2 or 3-device plan raises that simultaneous-stream limit accordingly.

What happens if you go over the limit

Practical example

On a 1-device plan, you could have the app on your Firestick, your phone and your laptop, but only one of them can stream at a time. Switching between them freely is fine; running two at once is what triggers the limit.
